These pictures are probably the last really summery shots I’ll upload this year, because here in Zurich it’s already raining again. Today’s post is all about my favourite ways to glam up summery outfits. My sister actually inspired me to write this post, because she always claims that summer doesn’t allow for cool outfits. She believes that the warmer the weather, the less pieces one can wear, aka the worse it is. Personally, I’ve always underestimated the power of a little jewellery, a pair of sunglasses or a nice belt. I guess I’m just a little too lazy when it comes to accessories. Who doesn’t know the feeling of opening a drawer full of entangled necklaces? Here I’ve come up with my favourite summer accessories of this season, which even make a simple shorts & top outfit look put together.
No. 1 – Temporary Tattoos
As you might have noticed on my Instagram feed, I’ve been loving the flash tattoo trend this summer. It’s just the perfect accessory to changes things up and add a little glam to your outfits. Other sorts of temporary tattoos are super cool too, like the henna tattoo I am wearing on the pictures.
No. 2 – Hair Style
Styling your hair is probably one of the easiest ways to bring more dimension into your looks. By styling I don’t mean that you have to invest a lot of time using heat on your hair. During summer, I personally rarely even blow dry my hair. A middle-parted sleek bun or a french braid are a matter of 5′ or less.
No. 3 – Shades:
I guess sunnies are the most obvious thing I could have come up with, you’re right. What I’d like to point out though is, that you don’t need a hundred different pair of sunglasses. The most important thing is to own sunglasses with different types of hard-ware, so you can wear them in any look. The pair I’m wearing on the pictures are from Ray Ban. They go really well with more modern, monochrome looks and I like to pair them with silver jewellery.
