Lisbon Night Out (Update – Restaurants / Bars / Clubs)

Well, well, as you are reading this post, I will hopefully have arrived in Zurich. Currently, I’m sitting at the airport, waiting for my flight to depart, which was delayed a total of three hours (I should have known, the Portuguese aren’t the best when it comes to time management). Anyhow, last night was one of my last in Lisbon for a while, a fact that needed to be celebrated. I realized, though, that my last post about travel tips regarding Lisbon has outdated itself, especially when it comes to bars and clubs. Which is why, I decided to give you an updated version of how to do a night out in Lisbon:

Intendente is always nice to start your days or evenings, no matter what time it is, the square is perfect for both coffee and beer. It’s outdoors, but that’s fine, because the sun will warm you up during the day and heaters will be lit in the evening to battle the chill air. After a drink or two at Intendente, you should be getting hungry, and no place is better to fill up before a night full of drinks and dancing than By The Wine in Baixa. My favourite dish is the entrecôte sandwich or the teriyaki ceviche, accompanied by a glass of SBE Seco. Another good idea is A Cevicheria, however, you’ll have to dig deeper into your pockets to able to endeavour talented chef Kiko’s dishes. That salmon cashew ceviche with yoghurt foam is one of a kind, though.

After all that beef, cheese and wine you probably should get moving, which is why Pensao Amor will be just the right place, as it’s only a few meters by foot form By the Wine and is just about the perfect transition from chill bar/bistro to  intriguing bar/club. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to listen to some amazing 80’s vibe music or 90’s hip hop and r&b. Who doesn’t love soldier boys and a gin fizz on a Friday night? And if you’ll ever be able to leave the club, or it closes down, there will always be an afterclub party going on downstairs on pink street
