Living Lagom – Breathing from Within
Lagom – Not too little, not too much. Just right.
I’m genuinely excited to write this blogpost for you guys today, for a few different reasons. First of all, I get to write about lagom, which the internet is currently going nuts about. Secondly, I’m obsessed with the brand I’d like to introduce you to and I’ll be working the rest of the year. And thirdly, I love the campaign behind the products and shot some amazing photos, all of which makes me one happy blogger right now.
When you’re a serial youtube, instagram or blog junkie like I am, you’ve probably heard about lagom already. Lagom (“The right amount” or “Not too little, not too much. Just right.”) is all about living a more minimal life and is considered as a lifestyle trend. Yet, whether it’s trendy or not is unimportant to me. I personally love to be reminded of balance in life and not to get soaked up in stress and busy schedules. To be honest, living lagom does not come very naturally to me. I’m the kind of person that is always busy and inherently chooses to be so. Working, studying, blogging, meeting friends, hosting family dinners and trying to be “mrs. everything & everyone” can be quite exhausting. However, as much as I like being ambitious and busy, I know I need to make time for my body and soul to come to rest, too.
Living lagom thus reminds me of living the present to the fullest and looking out for resting moments in my daily life. I never understood the concept of people working their a**** of during the whole year and desperately longing for an ajurvedic retreat once Christmas is over. Lagom to me means never getting to that point where you actually need to take vacation from your daily life. Instead, trying to improve your daily life in a way that lets you breathe from within.
