Natural Fabrics Rock – The Classic Turtleneck
To be completely honest, I didn’t expect the autumn/winter transition in Lisbon to be this harsh. Especially, the last few days have been really cold and I realised I’d need some new knitwear to survive the temperatures. As I’m currently on an exchange semester and don’t have too many things with me, I needed a sweater that would go with everything. A simple, black turtleneck ultimately, cut the deal for me.
The only thing I’ve been struggling with lately, is finding clothes made out of natural fabrics. Basically, everything’s polyamide and elastan (=plastic) these days. I get it, it’s cheaper and more convenient. The thing is, those fabrics look fine at first, but eventually they reveal their true quality. Anyhow, I was happy to find this amazing turtleneck as well as this off-the-shoulder piece. Both of them look and feel very nice (also after having been washed for the first time) and consist mainly out of cotton, silk and viscose (natural fabrics). The one I’m wearing on the photos is 55% cotton, 20% silk and 20% polyamide (to make it stretchy). Thus, it keeps me super warm, looks nice and will last for a couple of seasons, because #naturalfabricsrock!
